University of Missouri-Kansas City Trustee Award given to Dr.Sohraby and Dr.Medhi Dr. Khosrow Sohraby was named as Curators' Professor and Dr. Deep Medhi was awarded the highly prestigious UMKC Trustee Award. Dr.Appie Van de Liefvoort said, "Through their efforts and leadership, and the many personal sacrifices they both made for the greater benefit of our Dept, School, UMKC, and our Profession, we as a Department and School have gained national and international reputation as well. Their list of achievements is long and impressive, a tough act that we all try to follow. They treat us all as their equals and help each and every one of us in achieving our goals in the Department and in our profession. They are colleagues in the true sense of the word, and an inspiration to me personally." |

“I am thankful to everyone who have been a great help through out my tenure at UMKC. I am trying to help students see that we are in an ever changing world and adaptation is the key to survival. My area of research is in computer networking and especially, I am interested in doing research in networking; how we make a large network survive from some kind of major failure.I try to bring my research into the classroom. In addition I think in the context of 'what if' especially in the technology area where change is the only constant thing,” said Dr. Medhi. |
