The National ASCE Student Steel Bridge
Competition
7th Place Overall
Scored a 7th Place Overall out of 42 teams that attended
the competition. Our best result was in the Stiffness category
in which we placed 1st.

Mid-Continent Regional ASCE Student
Steel Bridge Competition
1st Place Overall
A dynasty is born!!! The UMKC ASCE Steel Bridge Team scored 1st
Place Overall, 2nd Place went to K-State, and 3rd Place went
to Missouri S&T
(formally UM-Rolla). Now it is time for Nationals and a month of intense
practices. The scores of 1st
place in the categories of economy, stiffness, construction speed,
efficiency, and aesthetics; and 2nd place in the category of
lightness are
outstanding across a field of 11 other teams which included Missouri
S&T,
University of Missouri - Columbia,
K-State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, University of Nebraska - Lincoln,
University of Nebraska - Omaha, Southern Illinois University -
Edwardsville, University of Arkansas, and University of Kansas.

the competition. Our best result was in the Economy category
in which we placed 15th.

Steel Bridge Competition
1st Place Overall
We did it again!!! The UMKC ASCE Steel Bridge Team scored 1st
Place Overall, 2nd Place went to K-State, and 3rd Place went
to Mizzou. Now it is time for Nationals and month of intense

Bridge Checks finished
Check members of the bridge for failures
The bridge member sizes have been checked and all have passed.
We will use this information to order steel shortly after
Thanksgiving.
