Flarsheim Hall was completed in 1999, and the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Department was one of the first departments moved in. The building has office space, classrooms, and a dedicated laboratory corridor on all floors with double air exchange and heavy-duty utilities. The faculty offices and computer-based research laboratories for CME are on the third floor. All CME labs are on the third floor. The Dean of the School of Computing and Engineering is located on the fifth floor of Flarsheim Hall.
Project space for the student competitions and a student machine shop are being created in an adjacent building (Old Maintenance Building).
